How to beat inflamation


The following was a list I created for a client of mine fighting inflammation problems. I figured I would share it with you all in hopes that more can benefit from it

FOODS TO AVOID

Always
*Cooking oils like Safflower, soy, sunflower, corn, and cottonseed. 
*Trans fat
*Dairy
*Alcohol
*Tomatoes

Whenever you can
*Sugar
*Refined grains such as white rice, white flour, white bread, pasta, pastries
*Artificial additives and MSG (common in soda pop)
*Potatoes 
*Eggplant

Whenever it is easy to
*Peppers 
*Red meat and feedlot raised meat


FOODS TO ADD (INFLAMMATION FIGHTERS)

*Wild Alaskan Salmon (High in Omega 3)
*Kelp (High in fiber and known a a healing agent to many cultures)
*Extra Virgin Olive Oil (natural anti inflammatory)
*Cruciferous Veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, kale and brussel sprouts  (High in antioxidants)
*Blueberries (too many to list)
*Turmeric (asian spice that is used in pain relievers)
*Ginger (digestive aid)
*Garlic (regulates glucose IE sugar)
*Green Tea (many benefits)
*Sweet Potato (good sub for regular potato, more complex carbs)
